Research
Around Zusterstraat 19, the former school building of the Da Vinci College, prospective environmental and archaeological soil research was carried out by Arnicon BV in January 1999. The school building dates from the 19de century and could possibly make way for new construction.
Agnietenklooster
The research location was home to the women's monastery of the Sisters of Agnieten located. Iconographic sources from the monastery period are virtually absent or incomplete, so that we do not know exactly what the monastery looked like. The archaeological soil investigation was aimed at tracing any remains of the old monastery building, as well as reconstructing the development history of the plot on the basis of stratigraphy.

The soil drillings that were carried out show that the undisturbed package is located around 3.40 metres below ground level. Directly on top of this package is a greasy, manure-rich anthropogenic layer, in which burnt grain and a trace of brick dust are present. However, no traces of construction from this period have been demonstrated. The layer dates from the end of the 12th century at the earliest.de or the beginning of the 13de century. The finds from the various higher elevation layers date from the 14thde up to and including the first half of the 18de century. The package contains burnt debris at various levels.
