During the National Archaeology Days The municipal archaeological depot of Gorinchem opens its doors annually. Come and see 30 years of archaeological research on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 19, 20, and 21, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM: from wall tiles, tobacco pipes, and children's toys to finds from the 15th century.de century. Admire dice with surprising stories and the twelve enormous cannonballs from the Arkelse War.

Bring your own finds to the archaeological consultation hour. Children aged 8 to 12 can go on a scavenger hunt and search with a metal detector; they receive a diploma afterwards. The youngest children search in the shard sandbox and take a matching coloring page home. Come experience, discover, and ask questions at the Gorinchem depot.
You will find the depot at Arkelsedijk 24 in Gorinchem, in the same building as the fire station. The wheelchair-accessible visitor entrance is located on the Arkelsedijk side. An elevator is also available. Parking is available under the fire station building, on the waterfront.
